![]() Good Sales Don't Just Happen - They're Managed Ker-Mar Complete Dispersal The Ker-Mar Complete Dispersal was held on Saturday, October 9th in Comstock, WI. This five-time PBR Award herd had a 25,456 1031 808 herd average and 107.5% BAA. All but four of the lots traced directly back to the foundation of the Ker-Mar herd, San-Crai Homestead Fobes Rita 4E-92 with 263,000 LT. On a beautiful fall day, one hundred lots averaged $2414 for Kerwin and Marilyn Cordes and family. The sale started with opening remarks by Tom Morris on the accomplishments of this homebred herd. Kerwin followed with family introductions and thank yous to those in attendance. Two deep pedigreed animals topped the sale at $4500. Steve Thompson of Cadott, WI purchased Rita descendant, Ker-Mar Outside Delight VG-87 EX-MS, carrying an ultrasounded female Throne calf and due in February. Dale, Sharon and Ana Christine Anderson of Chisago City, MN purchased Ker-Mar Lee Skittle, a March yearling due in June to James. Skittle is from a VG-88 EX-MS Formation with two records over 30,000M, also tracing to Rita. Steve Thompson also acquired a VG-86 Emory backed by four VG and EX dams from the Ritas for $4200. Each selling for $4150, a VG Outside from a VG-87 GMD with three 30,000M records found a new home at Lakecrest Farms, Amery,WI; and Ker-Mar Rubens Scarlet-Red, a Summer Yearling, sold to Carole and Katie Peper of Centuria, WI. Tom Morris Ltd managed the sale with Tom in the box and Sandy at the clerk's table, Brian Behnke handled pedigrees, and Scott Courtney, Don Mayer, and Jay Jauquet assisted with bid taking. |
