Klumbs Holstein Dispersal
The Klumbs Holstein Dispersal drew a large crowd of extremely active bidders at West Bend, WI on September 17, 2007.
The entire herd traced back to two 4-H heifers purchased fifty-five years ago, with no other purchased since then.
Drawing worldwide attention and topping the sale at $17,000 was a beautiful Durham heifer, due in six weeks to Roy, that is a full sister to the extremely popular Klumbs Durham Pontiac at Select Sires. Their 3E-93 GMD DOM Emory dam has records to 2032 and over 234,000 4.6 3.4 LT. Next dams are VG over 200,000 LT, and VG-89 with 211,000 LT. She was purchased by Deronda Holsteins of Amery, WI.
Right behind her at $16,000 was their Dec '06 maternal sister by Lou that was selected by Blue Horizon Holsteins of Verndale, MN. Eight more individuals brought $5000 or more with the 69 lots averaging $4036. Tom Morris Ltd managed the sale.
