Larigan Lake Complete Dispersal

On a beautiful spring day in Northwest Wisconsin, the Larigan Lake herd was dispersed. The herd had a BAA of 107.2% and was known for their high components. The Behling family has bred Registered Holsteins in Cumberland, Wisconsin for six decades. Bob and Shirley Behling and their six children celebrated this special day with family, friends, and neighbors. Two beautiful uddered VG-86 EX-MS Ito daughters topped the sale. The $6200 sale topping Ito was from a 3E-91 GMD Tesk with over 229,000 and 10,000F of 3.5%P LT. The other Ito was from a VG-86 Bestow and sold for $6,000. Rounding out the top three at $5800 was an EX EX-MS Jasper from a VG-87 Black Magic with 26,430 1001F. All three cows were purchased by Matthiae Dairy of Marathon, WI and hail from Larigan's large, deep pedigreed Helen family. The April 11th sale averaged $2956 on 75 lots. Tom Morris Ltd managed the sale with Tom in the box and Sandy at the clerkÕs table, and assisted by Scott Courtney and Don Mayer, with Jim Powers making pedigree announcements.
