Nova Autumn Revue a Success The Nova Autumn Revue kicked off an exciting weekend September 9th in Northwestern Wisconsin. Since losing their entire herd in a tragic barn fire five years ago, Thomas Kamm and sons Lance and Ryan have developed their Nova herd into one of the premier herds in the area, supporting a BAA of 109.9 percent with impressive pedigree power. The Nova Autumn Revue, held at the Kamm farm in New Richmond, WI, averaged $2,857. This consisted of 96 lots including guest consignments from the Dix family and nearby neighbors at Crisdhome Farm. Offerings were scattered to buyers from five states, with much support from fellow Northwest Wisconsin breeders. The sale topper at $7,100, purchased by Sonny Bartel and Nancy Thomson, was a stylish red September Storm Summer Yearling from six generations of VG and EX dams, four of which are GMD DOM, while the first four are over 1550F. The second high seller at $6,600 was purchased by Allen and Shirley Sell of Watertown, WI. She is a stunning VG-87 Storm daughter that is making a big record at 3 years of age and is due early next year to Dundee. The sale was managed by Tom Morris Ltd. Roger Turner made the announcements, and Sonny Bartel assisted Tom with the selling. Additional sales force were Scott Courtney, Rodney Hetts, Paul Trapp, Nate Goldenberg, Steve Berland, Howard Binder and Robert Sabo. Joel Kietzman, Steve Zastrow, Tim Natzke, Matt Sloan and Bryce Lee had the lineup in top form for the auction. The day began with a delicious bar-b-que beef dinner with all the trimmings, compliments of the Kamm family, and ended with an open barn and another wonderful meal at nearby Crisdhome Farms sponsored by the Kruschke family. |
