![]() Good Sales Don't Just Happen - They're Managed Reflections of Holbric A large number of breeders, neighbors, and supporters were on hand May 7th in Harvard, IL to help the Olbrich family celebrate and reflect on their Holstein heritage spanning more than 3/4 of a century. Billed as the Reflections of Holbric, the outstanding lineup of Registered Holsteins commanded an average of $4204 with more than twenty over $5000. Glenn Ubbelohde of Plymouth, WI bought the sale topper at $10,100. This extremely big and stylish *RC Winter Yearling was sired by Linjet and backed by two EX EX-MS dams with 1142 and 1480F. Richard Green of Middletown, DE selected a red Summer Yearling by Markwell Banner from 7 EX dams in the Roxy family for $9400. Robert and Susan Miller of Vesper, WI paid $9200 for a stylish Sept '04 *RC Rubens daughter from 10 generations of EX dams back to Gray View B D Crissy. Verlo DeWall from nearby Shannon, IL gave $9100 for a VG-86 young Integrity springing to Arsenio. This crowd favorite is from a 2E-94 Lindy with 1885F. The colored breed section included 13 Jerseys that averaged $3181. The highlight was a stunning Sr 2 Yr Old prospect by Extreme from an EX-94% dam who already has several major show winning and Excellent daughters. Mike and Sheryl Deaver of Edgerton, WI paid $10,000 for the rights to develop her at Sherona Hill. The cattle were purchased by buyers from fourteen states spanning coast to coast. Tom Morris Ltd. managed the sale. |
