Good Sales Don't Just Happen - They're Managed

Silverview Lane Holsteins Complete Dispersal

Buyers from seven states took advantage of the large offering at the Silverview Lane Holsteins Complete Dispersal on June 26 at Greenville, IL. Brian Woker and family had bred and developed an outstanding herd, sporting a BAA of 106% and a 2x RHA of over 24,000 and 935F, with great depth of pedigree laced with outstanding sires.

Topping the sale at $5000 was a daughter of the extremely popular Calbrett-I H H Champion. Scored VG-85 2Y, she had finished with over 27,700M @ 2-04 and was due in August to Stormatic. Ben Jepson of Franklin, KY was the buyer. Mr Jepson also selected a fine, deep pedigreed Dixie-Lee Aaron daughter scored GP-83 VG-MS 2Y with 27,600 @2-03. Fresh and milking 100 pounds at 3 yrs, she brought $4250. In addition, Mr Jepson gave $4200 for a beautiful Storm who made 1355F at 2-03. Scored VG fresh less than one week, she completes 6 generations of VG and EX dams. Also selling for $4200 to Mike Richter of Highland, IL was an extremely popular fresh heifer by Emory from a VG 100,000 LT Nick daughter.

The entire lineup of 154 full lots averaged $1811, plus six baby calves averaged $725. Tom Morris Ltd managed the sale with Larry Kleiner highlighting the pedigrees and Scott Courtney, Don Mayer and Howard Dust spotting bids. Neighbor Lucas Clanton and friends had the cattle in top shape for the event.
