Good Sales Don't Just Happen - They're Managed

The second edition of the Tanbark Tribute Sale was held Friday evening, April 14 at the Jauquet Farm near Luxemburg, WI. The sale was created to honor the memory of Brett Jauquet, a special young farm boy who loved his cows. Over the past four years, the Brett Fund has helped many children– 4-H events, educational farm tours, St Jude’s Children’s Hospital to name a few.

Topping the sale at $43,000 from Jeff Jauquet and Fred Lang to Red Vision Genetics of Oakland, MD was Lot 1, an *RC Sept Storm Summer Yrlg. Her dam, BKB Amanda-ET VG-88, is a member of the Jauquet herd, made over 1500F at 2-03, and is from the All-American Shoremar S Alicia 3E-97.

Second high at $30,300 was consigned by Doug Schmidt of Hilbert, WI and purchased by Aaron Jorgensen of Webberville, MI. This red 9/05 Sept Storm heifer is from Sure-View Marshall Alley-ET VG-87 with CTPI +1976.

Next in line at $20,200 from Budjon-JK to Richard Green of Middletown, Delaware was an Astronomical Fall Yrlg from Krull Broker Elegance 3E-96 GMD DOM.

The sale was managed by Tom Morris Ltd. Tom was assisted in the box by Kevin Jorgensen with the final results showing the 59 heifers averaged $6150.
