Good Sales Don't Just Happen - They're Managed

Vital-I Complete Dispersal

The Vital-I Herd was dispersed on Saturday, March 12, 2005 in Dixon, IL. Joe and Darlene Vitale and their family developed one of the most successful homebred herds, earning many Premier Breeder banners and the Champion Bred and Owned Cow at the 2000 International Holstein Show. 59 lots sold for an average of $3,697. The sale topper at $10,200 was a June 2003 Rubens springing to Radius from an EX-92 Lee with 1286F and was the selection of Greg Walz of Richmond, MN. Two animals sold for $8500: Lot 1, 2E-96 DOM Lincoln Bonnie's springing Durham, sold to Ernlo Farms of Waukon, IA; and an EX-91 Lee from Chesapeake Ashley 2E-95 headed to Rockford, IL as the purchase of Carli Reeverts. The sale was managed by Tom Morris Ltd, with Tom auctioneering and Sandy handling the clerking responsibilities. Brian Behnke announced pedigrees and Scott Courtney, Don Mayer, and Bob Milller worked the ring and accepted bids.
