Willows Edge 30th Anniversary Sale

Henk & Bonnie Van Dyk hosted another very successful herd sale at their farm in New Richmond, WI on Saturday, May 27. This special event celebrated the 30th Anniversary of their Willows Edge farm and involvement in Registered Holsteins.

The 85 live lots averaged $4380 with 13 embryos adding $8350, for a total of $380,650. Topping the sale at $17,200 was an EX-92 EX(92)MS red 4 year old Regiment backed by EX-93, VG-88 and EX-90 dams. Owned jointly with the Karl Mueller family, she went to Alvin and Barb Kayser of Milton, WI. Following closely at $17,000 was Willows-Edge Ruben Cisco VG-89 EX-MS, a Rubens from a VG-88 Leduc daughter of Don-A-Dale Jet Crystal EX-43 CAN. Cisco was the choice of John Holmgren of Motley, MN. Next in line at $16,000 was Willows-Edge Lee Gina EX-93 EX(95)MS, a Lee from a VG-87 Mark, then a 2E-94 daughter of the All-American Gina 4E-97 GMD DOM. Randy and Elaine Carns of Shullsburg, WI were the buyers. The sale was managed by Tom Morris Ltd.
