Ylitalo Complete Dispersal

A nice crowd of breeders traveled to the north woods of Wisconsin on a beautiful fall day for the Ylitalo Complete Dispersal. Located just a few miles south of Lake Superior at Marengo, WI, this longtime breeding establishment brought buyers from five states together on October 14, 2005.

Recognized throughout the industry for their successful modified grazing program, Charlie and Claire Ylitalo have received 12 consecutive PBR Awards, bred 14 GMDs, more than 20 EX cows, and nearly three dozen 200,000 lifetime producers, while sporting a 108.1% BAA and a 2x RHA in excess of 25,800 1000F 830P.

Topping the lineup at $7300 to Ron Finch of Kelley, IA was a big, powerful Durham heifer springing to Wil-Hart E Louie, from a deep homebred family. Her direct dams are GP-84 1072F, 2E-91 1210F, 2E-90 1291F, VG-87 GMD DOM 1419F.

Next in line at $7000 was a recently fresh stylish Timlynn Throne backed by these five impressive homebred dams: EX 1080F, EX-91 1022F, 2E-91 1529F, VG-87 1018F, VG-87 GMD DOM 192,000 LT. She was purchased by Steve Thompson of Cadott, WI. Ron Finch also took home the third high seller at $6200, a very correct October 2004 Altagen-I Merchant daughter of the well-known 2E-93 37,330 1416 1298P third generation multiple E 1200F Jolt Roselynn, a star of the recent Mayerlane Silver Anniversary Sale purchased by the Finchs.

The sale was managed by Tom Morris Ltd and averaged $2862 on 75 lots, with seven baby calves averaging $1357.
